Beanies on Brains is a nonprofit 501c3 organization committed to promoting the education and awareness of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and offering encouragement to survivors and their families.
We are excited to partner with the talented and giving team at Fred Astaire Dance Studios, whose mission is to enrich the lives of everyone who is associated with their company.

BEANIES in the Ballroom is a fun and interactive event for brain injury survivors and the community to get together and learn ballroom basics from professionals at Fred Astaire Dance Studio Phoenix!

No guest? No problem! Partner with a volunteer or another attendee at the event!
NO EXPERIENCE needed! All ages and levels are encouraged to join!

DANCING & THE BRAIN… As if we need an excuse to dance!

• DANCING BRINGS FRESH BLOOD TO BRAIN bringing glucose and oxygen needed for optimal function
• IMPROVED BRAIN SCAN RESULTS, LESS BRAIN DETERIORATION, & HIGHER COGNITIVE TEST SCORES
• POSITIVE CHANGES IN MOOD, HIGHER ENERGY LEVELS, & LESS TENSION
• LOWER SIGNS OF DEMENTIA in senior citizens who danced vs. reading and completing crosswords
